This is a reflection (in two stages) on the idea of love: the flirting and the relationship. Open questions in the form of images, contradictions, and sarcasm. A way to depict what I see in our contemporary society, trying to avoid judgment. I use things that are in the 'love imaginary', but I distort them by introducing items that are not in the traditional mass media or advertising representation, like dancing, but not 'young and beautiful' people dancing, a bed, but not a sexy motel bed, a hospital bed, etc.

This photo essay is based on works that raise discussions around our role in society and how we represent ourselves through images, such as the 'Family Album' by the photographer Jo Spence. I also add some fantasy in the correlation of images, using ideas from the concept of 'simulation vs. the principle of reality' that the philosopher Jean Baudrillard describes in his investigations.
